Apparently, Van Damme can REALLY act. I mean, this performance deserves to win awards. So why has he never shown this ability before now? Oh well, better late than never. I just hope this opens up better movie roles for him in the future.
It really took some courage (or desperation) to bare his soul the way he does here. I also happened to love everything else about this movie, too, which I didn't expect to like at all.
