Review of JCVD (2008) by Christopher B — 24 Apr 2013
This is a drama that acknowledges that being an international star can be a drag. Refreshing and somewhat unexpected, Jean-Claude show some real acting chops. As a comedy it's rather dark, like a sad, old drunk; if nobody will drink with him he'll laugh at himself in between the teardrops that add a pinch of salt to his beer.
The prayer scene could almost be an audition - I hope he gets another part. Mostly in French with subtitles.
