Review of JCVD (2008) by Matt D — 13 Jul 2010
When I heard about Van Dammes movie I thought to myself: "Well it's gonna be another action packed film where he kicks ass for 1 hr. 30 min." Man I was wrong.
JCVD is a completely different film. Mixed between a documentary and a drama, the viewer is captivated throughout by the events happening to this famous actor. Right from the beginning, you only want to know what is going to happen next. Moreover, there's a perfect harmony between the action sequences and the slow parts.( His narration sequence is just so touching).
Anyway, JCVD is a great film to watch for any Van Damme fan and those who only want to see a different side in his acting.
