Review of JCVD (2008) by Erick F — 21 Sep 2011
Before the monologue I thought the film was alright. Everything after the monologue made it better. JCVD kills it about life for about 3 minutes, holding it down, in one helluva movie moment. I love how they constantly play off the moment in which you are waiting for JCVD to finally kick some ass.
But it never comes. One thing I didn't like though was the cinematography. I don't know why they chose such a stylized approach to such a cineme verite type story line? The glowing sin city thing was pointless I felt.
But still a great story. Great Concept Good ExecutioN! WATCH IT!
