Jaws 2 is a decent sequel. It isn't great, it doesn't do that much new with the material, but it does a few new things and at least has a few returning cast members to make it feel like a legitimate sequel.
It wasn't gonna be as strong as the first film, since the first needed no sequel (unless you are the one making money off all those ticket sales). I doubt Jaws fans would hate this sequel, I didn't, but I certainly felt there was something missing.
..that something special from the original.
