Review of Jaws (1975) by Matt T — 06 Aug 2013
Forget the mechanical shark, you don't even see the thing till right near the end. The fin and the music create enough suspense to last a lifetime.
Really though this film is so much more than about a shark. It's about 'small town' conservatism and an outsider trying to change their world. It's about standing up for what's right and following your beliefs. Most of all it's about friendship in the darkest of circumstances.
The acting and character development are outstanding, you care about the three protagonists. Not to mention the 'Indianapolis' scene, perhaps one of the greatest in all movie history.
Enjoy!
