Review of Jaws (1975) by Zack F — 22 Mar 2014
Jaws is an example of a creative genius creating an adventure that provides fun characters, fear, and shark hunting thrills to create a wonderfully fun film. Spielberg is great at capturing a feel of the location, here exhibited by the beach town world of tourists and fisherman.
Spielberg also displays in Jaws a mastery of suspense, being able to create the fear of shark attack with just the visual threat of the creature and a pulse beating score, rather than an onslaught of shark eating man.
