Review of Jawbreaker (1999) by Elizabeth T — 07 Dec 2008
A movie that appears to be another lame teen movie, but if you scratch just below the surface you'll find a stylish, chic, dark comedy. There are these wonderful instances in which the director tried some very symbolic cinematography (the scene in the hallway and the teacher announcing Liz's death) that I wish were a bit more prominent.
Acting isn't great but I still love this movie.
