Giving Jason a supernatural slant is a welcome change, but this film is still just like the ones that preceded it. Cliched, undeveloped characters doing stupid things, Jason slashing at people the same way he has done so for four films.
.. Even Tommy Jarvis is nothing like his portrayal in the previous two films.
