Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by John C — 26 Apr 2018
After taking a film off, Jason is resurrected by lightning to continue his murderous ways. The final chapter in the 'Tommy Trilogy' marks the beginning of the 'Zombie' Jason era. He now seems to have traded his ability to run for superhuman strength and uses it throughout the feature.
I always frowned upon 'Part VI', but enjoyed watching it more this time around. The acting is pretty good and it has a little more going for it in character development. I didn't loathe Tommy like I did in 'Part V'.
For once, children are actually at the camp. Most films would conveniently forget about the children, but I was impressed with how they handled them. Consider 'Part VI' out of the doghouse for me.
..barely.
