Maybe I'm watching these too closely together, cause I'm starting to get awfully tired of the formula. Did they really need to go BACK to Crystal Lake? Oh well, at least they seem aware of their lack of originality ("it's not Blood Lake, it's Crystal Lake!" [again]).
Still, the beginning and ending are great, the kills are good (and numerous), the soundtrack is great and there's some damn funny parts. This would have been a great high note to end the franchise on, but we all know they couldn't turn down an easy paycheck.
