Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by Jeremy K — 24 Feb 2009
I think making Jason the main focus actually helped this movie out, since there's less dumb dialogue and pointless sex. Of course, this is when the franchise starts getting ridiculous, but this one will keep you entertained.
Thom Matthews does really well as Tommy, and most of the other characters (aside from the policemen) actually aren't bad. There's also a good bit of humor, intentional or otherwise, and that seems to work, the way I see it, and also smartly written.
No masterpiece, but probably the best of the series, with probably one of the most satisfying endings. Enjoy "Jason Lives" if you're in the mood for a movie that has good action but not much sense.
