Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by Nay Nay B — 26 Jul 2011
Friday the 13th Part 6 Jason Lives is the best in the Friday the 13th Franchise along with Par 7 The New Blood. I actually enjoyed the plot of Part 6 so far and this is the first time Jason comes to life as an undead zombie unlike in the previous entries where he's just an immortal human being here in part 6 he's an undead zombie who came to life and he is a lot more stronger than in the previous entries.
I basically enjoyed it so far and this movie brought the series back to it's serious roots along with part 7 because this movie is incredibly suspenceful, scary and frightening. It isn't as gory as the New Blood and Jason Goes to Hell because the movie doesn't have enough gore although the opening kill scene was pretty gory when Jason kills Tommy Jarvis's best friend by ripping his heart out with one punch in the chest.
Although there are lots of scary and creepy moments in part 6. The R.V. scene when Jason kills the girl first by ramming her head in the mirror of the bathroom was really scary and intense oh and let's not forget the scene in the R.
V. when Jason sneaks up behind the boy while he's listening to the music and he stabs his head with a knife that was an intense scene. This movie isn't gory but it is suspenceful and creepy as well.
Now the acting is nice all the casts from the movie did a good job with their performances in Jason Lives and Director Tom Mcloughlin did a good job with his directing in the sixth entry in the Friday the 13th series I'm really proud with Mr.
Tom Mcloughlin and I have to say that he is a good director. Overall I will give this movie a 10/10 because the movie is suspenceful, scary, creepy and frightening.
