Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by Troy F — 13 Feb 2014
Jason Lives brings the series back up after the misfire that was A New Beginning. Tommy Jarvis returns yet again, but with little mention of much from the last film (so you can probably skip that one then!).
Anyhow, Tommy isn't convinced that Jason is dead, so he sets out to kill him for good, only to accidentally resurrect him. Crystal Lake is in danger again, and Tommy must put him back where he came from.
While I'm assuming this film was censored like every other film in the series, it's not as hacked here and we're back to bloody goodness (this is also referring to the butchered nature of the last 5th one).
The kills are still a bit of what to expect, but also interesting and satisfying, and the fact the plot is more than killing teenagers makes it worthwhile too. It's one of the better ones of the series.
Bravo... sort of.
