Review of Jason Lives - Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) by Larry H — 30 Jul 2017
The most well-rounded Friday film so far and it gets bonus points for introducing "Zombie" Jason. This version of Jason is what is most ingrained in pop culture. From the opening credits we are shown what to expect.
We're treated to a campy James Bond parody where Jason walks into the middle of the screen and stabs "us." The audience is engaged from the get-go as there is a clear objective: Tommy, from the previous film, wants to kill Jason once and for all.
Most of the cast is likable, and the physical comedy really, really works here.
