This spiritual forebearer of "Clash of the Titans" tells the story of Jason and the Golden Fleece, with amazing stop-motion animation by Ray Harryhausen that brings the mythological beasts to life.
(Has there ever been anything creepier than the skeleton warriors at the climax of the film?) Although the ending clearly leaves the story open for a sequel (which never came), this is still a satisfying, first-rate family-friendly adventure.
