Review of Jason and the Argonauts (1963) by Joe A — 06 Jul 2007
Ray Harryhausen's finest hour! Brilliant monster effects, a perfect story to fit them into and a top cast of British character actors - This film is worth watching purely for Jack Gwillim furiously overacting as the evil King - or Gary Raymond sneering his way through every line as Acastus - Brilliant! And then there's Nigel Green as Hercules - Yay! Nigel Green! Can't go wrong with Nigel Green.
He makes some very bad films worth watching and this is a very good film! A classic.
