-Not at all what I thought I was going to be, but it was a good surprise.
-Incredible "oil" scenes.
-Desolate desert shots invoke both the sense of boredom the men went through and that it was cheaply shot.
-Interesting characters, flaws and all.
-A deeper look into the psyche of "rookie" Marines.
-Great music.
-Jamie Foxx roxx.
