Review of Jarhead (2005) by Ben P — 03 May 2010
Jake Gyllenhaal wasn't quite the right guy for the lead role. That said it was still an interesting look into the lives of "Jarheads". This film wasn't really a war film, not as such.
It was more of a drama. I had heard this film was good, but nothing about the story. This film has made me more interested about Operation Desert Storm. Were the ground troops as uninfluential as this film makes out? Probably not, but it made me think.
That in it's self won this film points.
