Jake Gyllenhaal really breaks out in this performance and shows he's capable of playing a strong lead. Depicts the brotherhood that develops in the Marine Corps and how it was to be on the front lines during the Gulf War.
Not an action film, as some might expect, but more the long days of waiting to fire their guns and how the boys entertain themselves to pass the time. Overall, entertaining.
