Review of Japanese Story (2003) by Curtis L — 01 Dec 2009
This movie was ok for the most part, but seemed to jump too much at points. The movie runs about an hour and 40 minutes, but I feel like it needed that extra 20 to get it a little more crisp. That or they could of shortened the ending because it stretched a bit.
Toni Collette was pretty good in the film. But I really could not stand the close ups when she was sad. She really did not have the face or the emotion for it. Gotaro Tsunashima was ok, but not really a story actor for this film.
There were parts I really loved and really hated in this film. One really disturbing scene from the movie is actually the part I loved the most because there was so much emotion and fear, you could really feel it.
So the movie was ok. It just seemed to have pieces missing.
