Review of Japanese Story (2003) by Benjamin M — 17 Aug 2011
An unspectacular love story that is percipitated by a very spectacular descent into despair. So whereas the burgeoning relationship between the leads is handled messily, the depressing ends of things is managed quite sensitively and successfully.
All meaning that it's not my type of film. However, the scenery of the Pilbarra in North-East Australia is what prompted me to watch it in the first place and I wasn't disappointed on that front at all.
