Review of Janis: Little Girl Blue (2015) by Carlos M — 11 Feb 2017
Decent music bio. I got the feeling that fame came too easy and too quick for Janis Joplin. She was swept up in the San Francisco music scene, just happening to be in the right place at the right time.
The movie could go more into why she used heroin, who supplied it to her, who used with her. What ultimately was a very important aspect of her life, and what killed her, is almost tangential to the story as told here.
