Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Ethan T — 10 Sep 2011
I was surprised by how good it was. Its a reserved adaptation of Bronte's novel featuring a great performance from Mia Wasikowska. There is a danger in pushing Jane's isolation and quiet strong will into angst territory but Waskiowska never goes there.
It obviously a very abridged version of the story but director Cary Fukunaga still manages to retain the soul of the novel.
