Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Todd G — 07 Feb 2012
Brimming with defiance under her apparent submissiveness, Jane Eyre (Mia Wasikowska) catches the eye of a well-played, volatile Rochester. Fassbender, who is in just about everything good this last year.
The story is familiar, even to those that have not seen it before, but the use of emotion-mirroring landscapes and strong supporting roles keeps this viewing fresh.
Also, the costuming is superlative and Oscar worthy.
