Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Samantha P — 10 Apr 2012
I don't really know if having read the book made the viewing experience more remarkable or less thrilling. Anyway, it remained faithful to Bronte's literary masterpiece, which is a personal favorite.
It's just that the emotions evoked by the film were not as strong and striking as the ones elicited by the book. Maybe it's because of the limited running time. By the way, there are also certain shots I really liked.
This motion picture surely is tastefully made. All in all, it's a pretty neat adaptation of the timeless classic bearing the same title.
