When I saw this at the library, and I saw Fassbender's and Wasikowska's faces admiring one another's beauty on the cover, I knew. I knew that, no matter how this movie turned out, I would enjoy it.
Anyone unfortunate enough to watch a Mia Wasikowska movie with me will find that I spent half the movie saying things like, "why are your lips so beautiful?!" For Fassbender it's, "you're some sort of Superman, aren't you?" But hey, the movie is really good too.
I haven't read Jane Eyre since high school, but what a romance. I'm not ashamed to admit it stirred my inner bluebird.
