Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Marley R — 24 Aug 2014
It has some rushed moments and less emphasis on story, but this is nevertheless a surprisingly good Jane Eyre adaptation with an unbelievably terrific performance from Mia Wasikowska, solid score and simply outstanding, absolutely astonishing costume design and cinematography that wonderfully transports you to the period with stunning scenery, attention to detail and dialogue.
Its story is not handled perfectly, but the film succeeds thanks to its heart, amazing acting and remarkable technical aspects.
