Review of Jane Eyre (2011) by Risya H — 05 Oct 2011
The movie manages to captures the gloomy and atmospheric tone for the critically acclaimed period story. And Mia Wasikowska does a decent job in her portrayal of Jane Eyre. But I didn't feel any passion between the two main character, the whole buildup of the romance was missing.
Also, the ending felt cut off and little abrupt. In conclusion, the film not at all the worst adaptation, it is adequate but also far from what it could have been.
