Review of James White (2015) by Cody C — 01 May 2016
"James White" is the feature film directorial debut for Josh Mond, and he draws from his own experiences dealing with his mother's death from cancer. It has it's moments, but overall I felt the film didn't grab me.
There are some good performances (in particular Cynthia Nixon), but the sad rich white kid movie has sort of worn out it's welcome. This guy is going through some heavy stuff, but the film runs into some predictable territory.
