Josh Mond's debut film is a probing character study, and an intimate portrayal of a mother-son relationship. Shooting his film almost exclusively in close-up shots, the film really allows viewers to understand the actions of the characters.

While dealing with themes such as death and negligence, the film has plenty of humor in it too, and is carried by at least two great performances (Christopher Abbott and Cynthia Nixon). My only major fault with the movie is its conclusion, which feels a bit underdeveloped, asides with dealing with the base elements of what was necessary.

Josh Mond will certainly be a talent to look out for.
