Review of James and the Giant Peach (1996) by J K — 06 Apr 2010
Entertaining, though creepy in a Nightmare Before Christmas kind of way. At first glance this screams Tim Burton but was directed by Henry Selick, the same guy who gave us Nightmare and Coraline (an awesome movie).
Be prepared to be confused and apalled at this film. It's not a kids movie even though it was written specifically for kids (Disney). An odd choice for the Disney regime. A visually stunning if puzzling piece of cinematic art.
