Review of James and the Giant Peach (1996) by Danny G — 05 Jan 2013
There is a purpose behind the live action vs. animation characteristic, but there is absolutely no follow-through. This film would've had much better momentum running as an animated film as oppose to a wannabe jack-of-all-trades.
At times, it's ridiculous, but it's mostly forgivable given the fact that it's a children's movie adapted from a children's story. Again, had this been strictly an animated feature, the stupidity of the story would be easily overlooked.
