Review of Jacob's Ladder (1990) by Yvette W — 23 Apr 2011
This film intrigued me with its twists and turns as Jacob grapples less and less successfully to hold his world together wandering through flashes of various incidents in his past and possible present.
He suffers what can only be described as a mental break at one point and things begin to fall into place. The ending could be expected but is still powerful when presented. The blurred line between what is real and what is imagined in Jacob's life poses the question to the viewer of what is really reality and what is a just dream.
