Review of Jacob's Ladder (1942) by Aaron W — 05 Aug 2011
It's well-known that soldiers never talk with outsiders about what happened in war. This film is concerned with why that is. Be prepared for the most disturbing film you'll ever see. It is almost too much to take in places, and certainly something no review can prepare you for.
Don your dog-tag if you dare, see the quartermaster for your weapon and meet me in the cinema. Then we'll be soldiers together. But we'll never talk about what happened, even with each other. We'll just know.
