Not my ABSOLUTE favorite by QT but its a lot of fun and is a good adaptation of Rum Punch. The story(all though based on a book) is well told by QT and the actors are well chosen. The only real low I feel towards it is that.

.I feel some what sorry for QT because of how Pulp Fiction did SOOOOO GOOD it must have been hard for him to make a worth "Sequel" to it(which he did do) but I still can't help but feel that he fell just a LITTLE bit short of beating or even tying Pulp Fiction.

Also I always think that when ever QT diverts from his "Style" of film making his films aren't as good. Now when I say "Style" I mean his films like Pulp Fiction,Kill Bill,Inglorious Basterd All follow they same sort of.

.story telling/concept, Non-Liner,Broken up Chapters,Etc. are what you expect from him BUT when he does things like this,An adaption of a book, or something like Grindhouse,A Grany looking destroyed film style, I find his films aren't as good because it's not really HIS Style.

Meaning that those styles are usually done by more then one director, Grindhouse is an old style been around for years adaptations of books..same thing, and thusly doesn't seem to have the same feel, Or IMO, pride in the film(Granted Tarantino takes pride in ALL his films) Like it's hard to explain but the moment he diverts from his style you can tell.

when ever a film is done in HIS style it's usually applauded and well liked,IE Pulp Fiction Resivor Dogs Etc., and is always known as a "Tarantino film" when he does things like this film they're still great but you can tell that it's not REALLY his style and instead is just mimicking someone else's style.

It still works but it's not as unique and I guess doesn't stand out. In other words when it's done is HIS style people know it and remember it. the moment he does it in a style that is..familiar(for lack of a better word)I think a lot more people will just sort of pass it by,They may still enjoy the film, But deep down they know that it's not REALLY his film style and is just a film with his name on it.

Having said all this the film is entertaining. But when you see it then watch his other films it's hard to really appreciate it as well as films such as Reservoir dogs and etc.
