Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Janoy F — 06 Jan 2013
At the beginning of this this movie I thought it would be a simple "Drug Bust Gone Bad" piece but wow was I wrong. it proved to be far more complex from the first back stabbing murder that totally took me by surprise.
This movie definitely highlighted Tarantino's scripting prowess the multiple angles that this movie took place in within a single forward time lapse was breathtaking in every sense of the word.. The powerful performance of the main characters, particularly Samuel, was one of the key aspects of the film that made it stand out.
Di Nero's performance was something special as well he really made the supporting role his own from his introduction to his slightly comical death. Humor, gore and calculated suspense.. Classic Tarantino.
