Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Luca D — 14 Jan 2013
I guess I'd dismissed Jackie Brown the first time I watched it because I'd just come off Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction and must have liked those much inferior movies better because I was a moron.
I had no idea Tarantino'd ever made an actually emotionally fulfilling movie, but Jackie Brown is that and more. I love the look and feel and characters and themes in this more so than any of his other flicks, though I think I still prefer the energy of Basterds.
Still, Brown has got to be his second best, and I'd prolly argue it's his only "real movie" as of yet.
