Meh, nothing notably special in this CGI infused fairy tale rendition of a Hollywood fantasy adventure. The delivery of the story is disappointedly dry. The lead character "Jack" is less interesting than the horse he attempts to sell at market.
The side characters are interesting & get more scene time than the lead. The film focuses too much on the animated giants who are just 1 dimensional characters w/little background. Still it's as entertaining as a mashem' up runaway paced film goes.
Keep expectations low & enjoy it for what it is. Some costumes were interesting in the film, Jacks costume seemed out of place & distracting. The film could use better written scenarios, more drama from the main characters, & more silliness from the giants/human interactions.
