Review of Jack the Giant Slayer (2013) by Scott E — 06 Feb 2014

Reasonably entertaining, tho a bit lacking in plot. Nicholas Hoult is passable enough as the eponymous Jack and Ewen McGregor adds a bit of gravitas to the situation despite his dubious accent. However the always glorious Stanley Tucci was horribly underused, there was far too much CGI and the lack of a decent script meant the cast had very little chance to shine.
