Review of Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) by Tony P — 10 Jun 2014

The chase and action scenes were really good. Although the evil mastermind's plot was sinister and frighteningly possible, the movie failed to create the required urgency and tension to make us believe that we and/or our heroes were ever really in peril.

Chris Pine did a terrific job in the lead role but the supporting cast was lacking...not sure if it was due to poor direction, an impotent screenplay or some combination of the two.
