Review of Jack Goes Boating (2010) by Jeff L — 23 Oct 2010
I missed out on this film at the most recent TIFF, which would have cost me $22.50. I caught it at the local art house yesterday for $5, and I definitely feel $17.50 richer. Hometown fav Philip Seymour Hoffman has given me some fond memories since his breakthrough year of â(TM)98 (THE BIG LEBOWSKI & HAPPINESS), but this is one outing Iâ(TM)ll mercifully overlook.
His acting is still solid, but his direction screams âamateur hour.â? Ditto for the supporting cast.
