Review of Jack Goes Boating (2010) by Tom B — 12 May 2011
I've gotta recommend this movie. Beautiful NY locations, beautiful performances, love of language, musical dialogue, sensitive, suspenseful, beautiful directing moments by Hoffman, a nice little art piece which I love.
Based on a play, a small movie with big meaning, lots of heart, all that stuff. It has elements of Greenberg, of waking up to one's reality, and an overall affirmation of joy in the moment. What more could one ask for on a quiet evening at home alone with another soul's effort to communicate through art?
