Jack Goes Boating is an awkward movie. Parts of it work enough to sit through, and others make you question whether or not it would even make for a successful play. It's awful stagy, and all of the film's revelations are learned through dialogue instead of action - which isn't to say that approach couldn't work for a better film; it just doesn't work for Jack Goes Boating.
