Review of Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (2007) by Ben C — 09 Oct 2008
This film relishes the conventions of horror simultaneously using them to its advantage while poking fun at them. The efx remind me of the high-quality homemade you would see in Dead Alive, and the humor makes this film a standout among its peers.
I guess sometimes the only real weapon you have is your anger (at least after you use the chisel, hammer and ax).
