Review of Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (2007) by John S — 19 May 2011
If you don't take it too seriously (and who would, considering its title and cover) its just pure great fun with style and pretty visuals, and without a pixel of CG (which is fairly impressive). Although delivering a commendable performance, the lead Trevor Matthews falls a bit flat, but still maintains to be cool and loveable at the same time.
I was a bit wanting in the badassery department, but the action was fun enough. All in all, its just pure mindless ridiculous fun and if you're expecting more, then you're looking in the wrong place.
