Review of Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (2007) by Steve W — 05 Oct 2010
I'm glad I gave this indie horror movie a chance. It was a nice throwback to classic horror movies like Evil Dead. There was no CGI and it was all just plain old fashioned visual effects.
The acting from everyone was decent, especially Robert Englund as a scene stealer. Trevor Matthews also held his own. The pacing is off for the first half with too much set-up, but the action and payoff is definitely worth it.
