Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Jonathan P — 01 Apr 2009
If prison is supposed to be a correctional facility, have we not finished paying when we are set free? Is the nature of the crime important, or is the stigma blanketed? What awaits us when we leave? How do we carry on with life, if we have a life at all? Who are we, if we have no past to quench the thirst of the curious? And when all is said and done, what truly matters when it comes to life?
Kristin-Scott Thomas is breathtaking, in a restrained and beautifully acted role that cares little for being overly emotional and instead plays on real human thought and action.
