Review of I've Loved You So Long (2008) by Dylan J — 05 Mar 2009
This is a powerful character study about life, death, family, and forgiveness. It is a very quite film. Most audiences would say nothing happens in it, but they'd be wrong because life happens in it.
The performances given in this are fantastic. I can't believe Kristin Scott Thomas didn't garner a nomination for this. I think Elsa Zylberstein deserved a nomination in the supporting actress category as well.
Certainly not for everyone, but for film fans that enjoy stories that are performance driven this is a great film to check out.
