Review of It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010) by Gina B — 11 Jan 2012
The movie might not be the expecting for Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden but in a way, they sent a message to teenagers, young adults and people who was been in the same situation. The message is simply:LIVE.
The emotional trip Cool Craig is passing might be the same as many people has passed through,it's hard,I've even been there too, there's a lot of pesimist thoughts, really low self-steem and a totally sense of loneliness..and this movie pictures it perfect.
But the dark light scenes are not as good ones as the ones they show the opposite,if you have passed this, you might remember and laugh, and if you're on it,you're gonna be at the end of the movie with a big,BIG smile and say: ''Hey,I can do it!''.
Galifianakis sensitivity is just shocking for a comedian, and it's just the correct ingredient for making this movie funny, educative and cheering. There a broken image reflected on his character and you get astonished by how a person in that state can recover with some fun and wildy crazy antics.
It's a must seen movie, because you never know if you're passing through this,or someone close to you,and this might be the perfect prescription for you to tell, and sometimes, just watch it so you can appreciate how good life is!.
